It’s not like the Motorola Droid 3 sold by Verizon is really old or anything, but that apparently won’t stop the manufacturer and the carrier from releasing its successor pretty soon. We’ve first seen the Droid 4 a few days ago, and back then it looked quite like a finished product, and not a prototype. So we speculated that it may end up in stores in the next few weeks.
Today we get more proof that the above may indeed happen. The Droid 4 has already been spotted in a couple of internal Verizon systems. Here are the shots which prove that, leaked to Droid Life earlier:
As you can see, Big Red is clearly getting ready to stock and sell the next Droid by Motorola. So if you’ve bought a Droid 3 with a two-year contract, you’ll probably be pretty mad in a short while when others will be getting even newer hardware just months after the Droid 3 came out.
The main thing that the Droid 4 brings to the table is 4G LTE connectivity, which has finally made it into Verizon’s highest-end Android-powered QWERTY slider.
