Billed as the world's thinnest smartphone, the Motorola Droid RAZR features Verizon 4G LTE and a stunning qHD Super AMOLED display
Verizon Wireless and Motorola revealed today their latest, best Android smartphone - the Verizon Droid RAZR. Hardware specs were what we expected and the device is the thinnest LTE phone yet, measuring just 7.1mm thick
Highlights of the Droid RAZR include a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP4430 CPU, a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with qHD resolution, 1GB RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. The camera is actually unique in that it supports HD video-conferencing using Verizon’s Mobile Hotspot feature
Motorola also included new software called Smart Actions that can extend the battery life to an amazing 12.5 hours talk time or 8.9 hours of video playback. Will certainly be testing this thoroughly when we get the chance.
Verizon will begin pre-orders on October 27, and the device will be available in stores in November for the price of $299 with 2-year contract.
For now, it appears, the Droid RAZR is the best Android handset on the planet. Until tonight, that is.
