The LED digital clock look and various optional colors (5 total) reminds me of being a young guy with a thirst for technology. I’d have wanted the app just for those features alone. Then Karvi Technologies upped the ante bringing in the 4-day forecast (with today) feature, optional integration with music apps such as Slacker, TuneIn, Pandora, Nobex and more, a customizable snooze timer and even more features!
Other wins for me, the application icon is just as attractive as the open application is. Don’t get me wrong I’ve liked the native Clock app since BB7 came out. The native is more of a 50′s throwback. Musical Clock reminds me of one of my favorite cube alarm clocks that would play CD’s too, LED display with a cute weather icon in the corner. A much more modern adaptation of a real alarm clock than RIM’s.
With so many great features I actually fell into love with the built in tones-sounds for my morning alarm. There’s 8 of them: Blues, Country, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Reg, Rock & Slow Rock. They sound like a common genre for whichever you choose. The Blues one has been waking me up in a good mood for a couple weeks now. But I think I’ll have to try using it with Nobex, TuneIn & Slacker this week.
For $1.99 you get a great deal of features, custom alarms, a gorgeous UI and app you’ll use almost everyday. If your not sold on it yet I suggest giving the FREE version a go first. Grab the version you want from the links below.
