Mobile World Congress, BARCELONA - Alcatel announced a new Android 4.2-based smartphone with a 5-inch display called the Alcatel One Touch Idol X.
The device comes packed with a range of high-end features that are intended for the present generation smartphone users, such as a 5″ full HD touchscreen. It measures only 7.1 mm in thickness, making it one of the thinnest smartphones in the market.
The Alcatel One Touch Idol X has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS loaded in it, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Some of the key features of this device include a 13 MP primary camera, 16 GB internal storage and a 2000 mAh battery. On select markets it will be launched with an 8 MP camera variant.
Despite being loaded with a range of impressive features, the Alcatel One Touch Idol X does not support LTE networks. It is expected for an international release in the second quarter of this year. However, the exact release date and price information are yet to be disclosed by the manufacturer.
