BARCELONA, Spain - Four new devices have been announced by ViewSonic at the Mobile World Congress, including the new ViewPad G70 tablet and three new handsets with dual-SIM capabilities.
The new devices are all being classified by ViewSonic as entry-level products and all will come with a custom version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
The first device to be announced was the ViewPad G70 tablet and amongst the specifications are a 7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GB internal memory, 4GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for further storage capacity, an HDMI port, a mini and microUSB port and front and rear cameras both offering a resolution of 2 megapixels.
The dual-SIM handsets will be making an appearance next week in Spain and of the three entry-level devices, the new ViewPhone 4s will be the most powerful of the handsets. with its 3.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 640 x 960, a 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel rear mounted camera, a VGA front facing camera and a dual-SIM facility.
The most basic of the new devices will be the ViewPhone 4e , which has a 3.5 inch display like the 4s but with a much lower resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, and it also comes with a lower spec 3 megapixel rear camera and a 650MHz processor inside.
Finally there is the Viewphone 5e, which is the largest of the phones, thanks to its 5 inch display, capable or rivalling the LG Optimus Vu and Samsung Galaxy Note.
