myPantone, the popular iPhone colour swatch app, has launched on Android allowing users to capture, create and share palettes on the platform.
Harnessing Android’s in-built camera so colours can be extracted from snaps captured on the go, the app matches any chosen shade from a photo stored on a handset to one of its 13,000 Pantome colours. Palettes can be sent as Pantone Colour Chips or swatch files for use in Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXPress.
Designers can also post notifications of new palettes to Facebook as well as sending them to the app’s official website mypantone.com.
myPantone is compatible with Android 2.2 or higher and can be purchased at the Android Market store for £5 making it a must for budding interior designers everywhere.
