The new Firefox 9 Aurora web browser launched on the Android Market last week with an impressive array of improvements. A series of interface changes are aimed at making Aurora the perfect accompaniment for Android tablets while support for native camera apps, faster start-up times and broader language support is also included.
Ardent users of Firefox for Android will immediately notice the Back button is now attached to the location bar, similarly to the app’s desktop cousin. The location bar has additionally been stretched to allow easier access to the Refresh and Bookmark buttons via tablets.
Tabbed browsing has also been renovated as well, allowing suers to swipe and hide the tab bar thereby avoiding occasionally annoying the tab thumbnail preview. For full-screen browsing the bar can bee hidden too, ensure nothing gets in the way of the latest leaked Ice Cream Sandwich screenshots.
Firefox 9 Aurora is available for free download from the Android Market now.
