We all know that Apple has obtained a world wide license to use Liquid metal alloy in its consumer electronics products. Antoine Brieux (A French designer), in his blog has tried to shed some light on new metallic glass concept, which is going to be an exclusive feature of iPhone 5 concept design.
Through this concept, Apple would be able to create an ultra slim and lighter iPhone with an incredible thinner body of just 7.9mm from earlier 9.3mm profile which is featured by iPhone 4S. A virtual home button is said to be the hallmark of upcoming iPhone by Apple that means it is finally going to ditch physical home button.
If new iPhone works on liquid metal concept then it would require about 4.5 inch wide screen display and this screen size might create some hassles for third party apps. Brieux also believes that iPhone 5 features would include a quad -core A 6 chip. It will have 10 MP camera and embedded SIM card. In nutshell we can see a new design with a strong emphasis on bigger screen, more efficient battery, higher resolution and contact-less payments.
As far as iPhone 5 release date is concerned then as usual there are so many rumors expressing different views altogether. iPhone 5 release date is believed to be around October this year but if we see from a wider angle then let say Apple may roll out its new device anytime later this year.
No doubt Apple will be in win-win situation as one side it will gain advantage of being first mover by using liquid metal concept while other side it will gain advantage by allocating license to its rivals who would like to make use of this concept in coming future. Apple has never looked back in terms of innovation since its inception. Innovation has always been the Hallmark of Apple products.
