Boompi lets you secretly add your gal pals to chats with your dates
On first glance, you might assume that Boompi (Android, iOS) is just another Tinder (Android, iOS). Indeed, it finds matches based on location, and calls you to swipe left or right depending on whether you like what you see or not.
But the newest dating app in town has a sneaky twist: if you're a woman, you can secretly invite your girl friends into a private convo you've been having with a potential beau, so they can eavesdrops everything you guys talk about.
Your potential match will be totally unaware as your gal pals become voyeurs to your chat - they can even send messages within the convo that the other person wouldn't be able to read. And even those who aren't looking for a date can sign up and go on "Ghost Mode" just to be able to eavesdrop on conversations.

Of course, most girls on the dating scene end up showing each and every one of their chats with dates to the pals, to get their opinions, advice, and take on what's being said. But making eavesdropping an actual feature in a dating app is certainly unique, if not slightly alarming.
The words betrayal of trust and huge violation of privacy spring to mind. Ad I'm pretty sure if the feature was offered the other way round, we'd being calling it sexist and morally repugnant. I mean, if you're going to offer a secret chat function, why not make it available to both sexes? Why only the girls?
But the app’s male founder, Alejandro Ponce, believes Boompi is the next step in modern dating. He told TechCrunch, “Boompi is every girls’ dream. A social discovery app where girls can secretly add their girl friends to a chat with a guy to gossip and share their opinion on guys.”
