In a recent interview with Reuters, the senior VP of Samsung’s product strategy team, Yoon Han-kil, shared some details about Samsung’s future plans. He talked about current Galaxy S5 sales, the upcoming Tizen phone and even talked a little bit about wearables. One little bit at the end of the Reuters report though that caught my attention is in regards to a new Galaxy Note.
“Yoon said Samsung was also planning to launch a new version of the Galaxy Note with a ‘new form factor’ in the second half, without elaborating.”
I could be reading way too much into this but a “new form factor” sounds like it will entail a much bigger change than just an upgraded Galaxy Note. Possibilities could include a Note with the bent screen around the edge or possibly a curved or even flexible device! We know that Samsung has the technology for any of those options but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what this “new” Note will be. I’m super excited regardless…but again, I could just be reading way too much into that statement…
What do you guys think? Is a new form factor on the way? Or are we just getting an upgraded Galaxy Note this year?
