Samsung is selling boatloads of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge since the time they are unveiled but the accompanying ads suggesting you to buy the devices were awful. That’s until now. Samsung has released three new ads for the handsets and I must say that the Korean tech giant has indeed managed to outdo Apple with an emotional aspect.
Each ad highlights a different feature of the S7 such as the one in which a young lady assures her younger sister that no monster lurks in the darkness with the night mode camera on the S7 or a stingy friend is finally forced to pay at a departmental store with Samsung Pay, even when he forgets his wallet as usual. But my personal favourite is the desperation of a young man who awaits the call from his crush and when it does finally arrive, he somehow manages to throw the phone in the sink full of water.
Over the years, Samsung has copied Apple blankly and expected the success the iPhone maker enjoys but off late, it has been taking the road less travelled and is innovating like crazy with the likes of Samsung Pay and Gear VR. I feel somewhere Samsung has also managed to evolve its advertising department and the latest ads are a proof of that.
Beautiful is the only word I have after watching the adverts.
