The HTC One M9 has made appearances on leaks before, but what we’re seeing now from case manufacturer Spigen is certainly new. Contrary to previous leaks which have shown the One M9 to be featuring a design very similar to the One M8, this new image accessed from Spigen shows an entirely different design.
For starters, the speaker grill has been reduced to only the edges of the bottom and top bezel, which is similar to the arrangement on the Nexus 9 tablet. Also, we’re seeing a slightly larger opening for the front camera of the device, indicating that HTC might go with a 13-megapixel front shooter like on the Desire Eye.
The camera is placed right below the top speaker grill/earpiece slot, but there’s no flash like on the Desire Eye. The lock screen wallpaper is the same from the Galaxy S6 Edge cases that were also listed by Spigen today.
It is possible that HTC issued a decoy press render of the One M9 to fool people into believing that it’s the real deal. With the announcement merely a few days away, we don’t have to wait long to find out. This One M9 Case Neo Hybrid has been priced at $34.99, which means it’s one of the premium covers available for the device.
