The Rachio Iro app-enabled sprinkler controller is getting even smarter with the introduction of a new IFTTT channel.
Were previously mentioned the Iro, and how it is much like a Nest Thermostat for your yard. With the built-in Wi-Fi connection, it can automatically adjust to the weather conditions and seasons to use as little water as possible while still allowingyour yard to thrive.
And the new channel on the service, also known as “If This, Then That,” highlights a number of preconfigured recipes for users of the controller. Some examples include the ability to track watering in a Google spreadsheet or receive an SMS when watering begins.
Users can also concoct their own recipe featuring Iro with one of the other numerous services on IFTTT.
