Apple is launching the iPad this Friday, but Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn has already published a video that shows the unboxing of the unreleased device. The website notes that even though the new iPad “feels a very solid machine like iPad 2, but is somewhat heavier and thicker,” there isn’t much of a difference between the two. They state that the only big difference in the new iPad is the Retina Display.
Tinhte.vn also noticed some in processing power (thanks to A5X chip with a quad-core graphics processor) when it comes to playing full 1080p video, which played “smoothly” on the new device.
The below video (narrated in Vietnamese) shows that the new ipad will come in packaging similar to the iPad 2, with the device on top with charging cable and along manuals at the bottom of the box.
The new iPad will be arriving in stores on March 16th, as well as to the doorsteps of those who got their preorders in on time. Apple Stores will be opening at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, so get there early.
