We saw the selfie centric HTC Desire Eye smartphone leaking out last week with a mammoth 13-megapixel front facing camera. A new leak today gives us an even closer look of the smartphone’s wide angle front camera located right at the center along with the two color variants.
Oddly, we don’t see the earpiece anywhere near the camera, so the Desire Eye could be unlike anything we’ve seen so far in a smartphone. The device also has a dual LED flash for the front camera which means that it’s fit to be used as a standalone camera.
The smartphone is reportedly packing a 5.2 inch 1080p display, a quad core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 SoC, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat with a new iteration of the Sense UI. The Desire Eye is also going to be IPX7 certified for water and dust resistance according to previous leaks. Expect HTC to make an announcement very soon considering that it is already making its way to the leaks.
