A LG-built Nexus 5 (2015) has been rumoured for a while and we now have reason to suspect that not only is it coming, but it could be incredibly powerful.
The new Nexus has seemingly be benchmarked on AnTuTu and its massive score of 85,530 leaked by mobiltelefon.ru.
That puts it at the top of the chart by a significant margin. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has the second best score and that's just 68,157, so the Nexus 5 (2015) has a score that's over 15,000 higher.
It's worth noting at this point that the score doesn't appear on AnTuTu's main site, so it's not clear how the source got it or indeed whether it's genuine, so take it with a big pinch of salt for now.
If the score is genuine though then the Nexus 5 (2015) could be the most powerful phone of the year and it must have a serious chip to achieve a score like that, with the Snapdragon 820 being the most likely candidate.
Other recent rumours that we've heard about the LG Nexus 5 (2015) include that it will have a 5.2-inch screen and a battery of around 2700 mAh. Whether any of this will pan out remains to be seen, but we'll likely find out in the next few months.
