Google’s new Asus-made Nexus 7 tablet launched bearing a price that’s $30 higher than that of its predecessor. That said, $229 is nowhere near prohibitive, and the new Nexus 7 does have an extremely crisp high-res screen and the biggest pixel density ever seen on a tablet – and that display surely wasn’t cheap. So you might say that the price difference compared to last year’s Nexus 7 is at least bearable, if not understandable.
But savings are savings, people. And if you pop into an Office Max store until August 10, you can get the 16 GB Nexus 7 for just $183.20. That’s 20% off the normal price, and it’s thanks to a special coupon (the one you can see in the image below). You can find the coupon here.
Keep in mind though that this is an in-store only offer, so you won’t be able to do zilch online. Except, that is, print out the coupon from the link above. Then you have to take it with you to an actual Office Max store, get the tablet you want (which is the Nexus 7, right?!), show the coupon, and that’s it.
The coupon applies to other stuff too, as you can see. But the Nexus 7 becomes a truly terrific deal with it applied. The 32 GB version of the tablet would now cost you just $215.20.
If you don’t have an Office Max nearby, perhaps you could try popping into a Best Buy, showing the coupon, and asking for a price match (or you can even do that online if you want). You may just get lucky.
