Earlier this month we caught wind of a new phone from OnePlus with powerful hardware and a smaller frame. Now another handset from the company has passed through the TENAA (China’s version of the FCC), revealing new specs and images.
The device looks very similar to the budget-friendly OnePlus X. It also sports the same 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. However, the leaked phone does get a Snapdragon 810 chip, giving it an edge over the Snapdragon 801-powered OnePlus X.
Based on this latest information, it sounds like the company could be prepping a slightly more powerful version of the OnePlus X for the new year. An earlier leaked benchmark suggested the Chinese startup was also working on a smaller 4.6-inch handset, which might be another model entirely.
We wouldn’t be surprised to learn that OnePlus is planning multiple devices for 2016. Hopefully we’ll learn more soon, though it could be a while before either of these alleged smartphones actually gets an official unveiling.
