Data-savings app Opera Max has just been updated. This app has been helping a lot of Android users conserve their precious data by managing and monitoring data usage. This app can help extend data plan savings, block data hogging apps, and offer real-time, daily, or monthly usage statistics. This new version now tracks data usage on WiFi networks. This makes sense since about 80% of usage on a device is on WiFi and Opera Max users have been requesting for such feature.
What Opera Max does is compress data like voice, photos, or videos saved on the phone. Doing this will save users up to 50% of free data, thus, speeding the slow connection. You know how it can be frustrating for the WiFi network slowing down especially in congested areas but Opera Max offers an ideal solution. The app allows you to see how apps behave on WiFi and how they use data.
The app blocking feature of the Opera Max also allows the users to prevents apps from tracking them. This can also disable background to conserve battery. There's a section called "Blocked Apps" that permits users to control WiFi and mobile data access. This way, you can have complete control over the speed and performance of the smartphone as needed.
The app also boasts of an enhanced user interface. Material Design is very noticeable. You won't see the common tabbed navigation design because the developer has utilized the new interface familiar to Material Design and Android Lollipop.
