The Wi-Fi-only Motorola Xyboard tablets started shipping in the US in January. Yet if you already bought one you’ll probably be angry to know that starting today the Xyboards are available with a spill-proof coating – at the exact same prices as before.
We don’t know if Moto has gotten in touch with Liquipel or not, but what is clear is that the manufacturer won’t make your existing Xyboard tablet spill-proof. If you already have one, just try to keep liquids at a distance.
The 10.1-inch spill-proof Xyboard can be yours starting at $499.99 for the 16 GB version and $599.99 for 32 GB of storage. The 8.2-inch spill-proof Xyboard is $100 cheaper across the board, so $399.99 for 16 GB and $499.99 for 32 GB.
Moto even throws in a free portfolio case and HD dock, which apparently is an $89.98 value. The free accessories are a limited-time offer though, so if you want them, you should order you tablet pretty soon.
