While Google hasn’t announced anything just yet, the latest rumors aim to close up any gaps in our expectations. This time around, it’s the same blogger who posted photos of the Clearly White Pixel 3 XL production unit, back with a new video that shows off the phone’s hardware and uses the AnTuTu app to confirm a few specific specifications.
First and foremost, that display. According to the app, the Pixel 3 XL is going to have a massive 6.7-inch display. Compare that to the brand new Galaxy Note 9, which has a 6.4-inch display. Meanwhile, the Pixel 3 XL is apparently going to have a 3430mAh battery, which is actually slightly smaller than the 3520mAh battery that was placed inside the Pixel 2 XL.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Pixel 3 XL will boast a single 12.2MP camera on the back, which isn’t surprising. But around front? The upcoming device will apparently boast three front-facing cameras, all of which are 8.1MP. The app doesn’t confirm what that third camera would be used for, with expectations that Google will use two of those front-facing cameras to facilitate a facial recognition feature to unlock the handset.
The Pixel 3 XL is shaping up to be an interesting device. Let’s hope that rumored launch date is accurate so we don’t have to wait too much longer to find out for ourselves, from official channels.
