Good news for our friends across the pond today. Folks interested in the Google Nexus 6 in the U.K. can now place pre-orders for the first Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone on the market. Engadget noticed on Tuesday that pre-orders are available through Amazon’s U.K. website, as well as Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse.
Amazon is selling the midnight blue model with 32GB of storage for £499.99 off contract and says that the phone is expected to release on Dec. 15. Meanwhile, Vodafone has the Nexus 6 listed in a bundle deal with a free Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch (for the first 500 pre-orders) starting at £44.50 per month, while Carphone Warhouse is accepting pre-orders for the 32GB and 64GB Nexus 6 models for £499 and £550, respectively.
If you’re at all interested, we suggest you act now. Pre-orders for the Nexus 6 that were placed on Google Play and through Motorola late last month and in early November are only starting to arrive now, and supply hasn’t nearly been able to meet in demand. In fact, each time the device is made available it quickly sells out. Hopefully by the time it launches in the U.K, which appears to be around mid-December according to Amazon, all of those issues will be ironed out, but who knows?
