Almost matching the number in its name, the Nexus 6 will have a 5.9-inch display. The resolution of the Shamu-sized screen is 2560×1440 (QHD). This puts its pixel density at 496 pixels per inch. Your eyes will be thanking you endlessly. Inside is a generously sized 3200mAh battery.
And the design of the Nexus 6 will match that of the Moto X (2014). Liam Spradlin of Android Police composed the image above of what we can expect. It does indeed look like an oversized Moto X. It has front facing speakers on the top and bottom. The power and volume buttons have been placed lower than usual to accommodate for the tall body of the Nexus 6. It will also keep the Moto X’s aluminum frame. Motorola is even making sure the Turbo Charger will be compatible with the Nexus 6 for speedy charging.
The rear camera is 13MP and features optical image stabilization. Again like Motorola’s flagship device, the Nexus 6 is going to feature that interesting ring around the camera lens housing the LED flash. The front camera is 2MP.
You will also notice in the mockup above that Google is revamping many of Android’s app icons. Notably, Hangouts is missing and the old Messaging app has seemingly made a return. Could that just be Hangouts getting another makeover? We shall see.
Google is clearly leaning towards a more premium experience with the design and specs of this device. Are you interested in the Nexus 6 made by Motorola? Let us know in the comments.
