The Nexus 6P was supposed to ship by the end of October, but it looks like some pre-orders won’t actually arrive until next month. Google is alerting people that the device is now slated for delivery between Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 due to “strong demand” for the stock Android phablet.
Phandroid published a full version of the email, which suggests some color and storage size variants of the Nexus 6P may be in higher demand than others. Google also promises a $25 discount as an apology, though you won’t actually get that money until after the new phone arrives. In the meantime, you can still cancel your order and get a refund if you want.
You could be waiting even longer than a few weeks if you haven’t ordered the phone yet. The device is currently out of stock at the Google Store. Huawei is still taking pre-orders, though the Chinese firm won’t actually ship the new phone until “late November.”
Our Nexus 6P review just went up this week and we’re pretty impressed by Google’s new phone. It may just be the best device of the year, and it’s easily the best Nexus handset out there. Huawei designed a beautiful metal frame and packed it with powerful specs and the latest version of Android.
Hopefully pre-orders of the Nexus 6P ship soon, because we have a feeling you’re going to love this phone too.
