The Nokia Asha 201 was announced during Nokia World last year, and like its Asha brethren was thought to be a device primarily aimed at emerging markets. That, however, hasn’t stopped it from showing up in the UK, and at Vodafone no less.
The operator is offering the S40 phone on Pay as you go for as little as £45, in white. If you want to pick one up, head over here.
The Asha 201 comes with a full physical QWERTY keyboard and is sure to appeal to heavy texters looking for a cheap device.
The Nokia Lumia 710 might also be up for grabs in Vodafone shops, although it’s nowhere to be seen on Big Red’s website. Rumor has it that the more affordable of Nokia’s new Windows Phones goes for a pretty nice £150 on Pay as you go, which has to make it the cheapest WP7 device ever.
At that price, Nokia is sure to move some product with this one. Hopefully it will be similarly priced elsewhere too in the future.
