The Lumia 2520, Nokia’s first ever tablet, is getting ready to make the jump to the UK next week. The device is already out in the States over at Verizon, but if you’re in the UK from this point on you don’t have that much waiting to do for it to show up in stores.
That’s because the tablet will be released on December 4, which is next Wednesday. This is two days earlier than when the Lumia 1520 phablet is supposed to go on sale in the UK. The Nokia Lumia 2520 will be offered exclusively by John Lewis.
It will be priced at £399.99. The keyboard case will also be available, for £149.95. In the US, the tablet has been picked up by both AT&T and Verizon, but it looks like no operator in the UK was interested in it – hence this partnership with John Lewis. Obviously things may change in the future, but for now if you want one of these you’ll need to purchase 4G service for it separately.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 has a 10.1-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built-in storage, microSD card support, LTE, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, a 6.7 MP Zeiss rear camera, a 2 MP front camera, and an 8,000 mAh battery. It runs Windows 8.1 RT.
