During Microsoft’s BUILD developer conference in San Francisco, Stephen Elop took the stage and unveiled the Nokia Lumia 930. The device will run Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, the brand new version of Windows Phone that was announced today, which includes support for rich notifications, the Cortana voice assistant, tighter integration and more.
The Lumia 930 will launch in a variety of colors, including green, orange, yellow and black, and features a lot of the hardware that was introduced on the Verizon Lumia Icon, including a quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. It will launch in June in Europe followed by releases in other markets around the world for about $599 before taxes and subsidies. Nokia said that focus will remain on the Lumia Icon in the U.S.
