The Symbian Belle Nokia N8, which received new updates was recently involved in a test against the Nokia 808 – the opponent was also equipped with Belle. This may seem that there was a cheat in the test but each device has different types of browser technology, the latter having HTML5 while its opponent having xHTML – a technology designed for a specific purpose.
The Nokia 808 does have a faster CPU, as well as Browser 8.2, it would make sense if the Nokia N8 would have the same Browser since they are both Belle devices, but the N8 boasts Browser 7.4 rather than 8.2 – the faster the CPU – the more advantage.
While at 13 seconds on the Nokia 808, the webpage was already starting to appear but the N8 still had a couple more seconds added to it. The N8 took longer than the video for the webpage to be loaded, the 808 was waiting at 41 seconds, for its opponent to finish loading.
This does raise the question that if both devices have the same software, then shouldn’t the virtual features be the same?
