Nokia N9 – the company’s first and last commercially available MeeGo smartphone – has reached Australian shores. For the moment, only Telstra is selling the N9 in Australia, but Optus and Vodafone will also do it (probably pretty soon).
Telstra is offering the N9 for 849 AUD outright, or on contract, with various plans available – starting at 49 AUD per month. Interested customers can buy the Nokia N9 online here at Telstra (a free Bluetooth headset is included – while stocks last).
The N9 is one of Nokia’s nicest smartphones ever (many people seem to agree on that). Apart from the freshness the MeeGo UI brings, the N9 features a 3.9 inch Gorilla Glass AMOLED display with 854 x 480 pixels, penta-band HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, Dolby Mobile sound, 8MP Carl Zeiss camera, 1GB of RAM, 1GHz single-core processor, and 16GB / 64GB of internal memory.
