When the note 5 launched, Samsung’s online listing indicated a 128 GB variant of the phone. But it was soon taken down and a company representative rubbished it as an internal error. The note 5 is a super phone but doesn’t have an expandable micro SD card slot like its predecessors. This makes the note 5 unsuitable for people who like to carry a phone loaded with music and HD movies.
But not anymore. Samsung has released a winter edition note 5 with 128 GB of internal storage capacity to go along with the 32 GB and 64 GB models. The announcement comes months after launching this and Samsung is on the verge of launching the next flagship, the galaxy s7 and its variant. My opinion is that Samsung released this edition a bit late so as to keep the sales momentum of note 5. Why else would it do that?
The phone will be limited to the south Korean region as of now and it will be a direct competition to the iPhone 6s plus that also has a 128 GB variant. The note 5 winter edition will come in two colours, gold platinum and silver titanium. It will run you down by $850 and will be sold through the carrier partners such as SK telecom and KT corp.
Refreshing your memory, the note 5 is the Samsung’s flagship for the second half of the 2015 and comes with a 5.7 inch QHD display. The phone is famous for its productive features and enabling these features is the excellent s-pen. The battery life is phenomenal and top end camera only enhances the obsession for the phone.
