While Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 last week with much hype and fanfare, the manufacturer didn’t show off any exclusive cases or covers for the device like it did with previous Galaxy flagships. However, a third party retailer has now spilled the beans on Samsung’s upcoming S series covers with over plenty of them to choose from.
A total of four cases and covers have been shown off here, including one which supports wireless charging. Known as the S View Wireless Charging cover, this comes with a wireless charging sensor on the back which allows for the device to be charged with conventional wireless chargers. On the front, this is the same S View cover as we’ve seen before with a relatively big opening to check your notifications, receive calls, control music etc. This case will be available in Black and White color combinations for €67 ($92) during launch.
There’s a standard S View cover as well, which doesn’t come with the wireless charging coil but will be sold in various other color options. This will cost nearly €55 ($76). Then there’s the €37 ($51) Wallet Case which will not give you a glimpse of the display but will feature a wallet like feature letting you store your cards inside the case. Samsung will also launch a traditional hard shell plastic cover which will protect your device from accidental drops on hard surfaces. This case will be the cheapest at €25 ($34) and will be available during the launch of the smartphone, much like every other cover mentioned above.
