OnePlus has been very vocal on social media, talking about the new features that its upcoming flagship would be packing. Only yesterday we learnt that the handset would have 4GB of RAM on board, while previous revelations have told us about the handset’s processor, fingerprint scanner and a reversible USB Type-C connector.
Today’s new revelation doesn’t come from the company directly, but by the way of a rumor. It is said that the company will be using a 5.5 inch 1080p display on the flagship instead of a 2K display, in order to keep costs at bay. Speaking of costs, the company has already mentioned that the handset would be priced cheaper than $450 when unveiled.
One would expect that a device with Snapdragon 810, 4GB of RAM etc would be featuring a top of the line display as well, but that’s not the case according to this Chinese source.
The rumor also goes onto mention that the smartphone will be sporting a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and a 3,300 mAh battery. It is also said that the smartphone will weigh 166 grams, which is slightly on the heavier side compared to the current crop of flagship handsets.
What do you make of this new rumor? Would you still be interested in the OnePlus 2 if it lacked a Quad HD display?
