OnePlus is currently in the process of rolling out its OxygenOS 3.1.0 update for the OnePlus 2. The release brings improvements to Doze for better battery life, and makes a number of big fixes to things like notifications and security.
OnePlus 2 owners have been waiting for this update for some time, but it’s not quite the release some fans were hoping for. Unfortunately, it does not activate VoLTE capabilities or bring the camera performance improvements OnePlus has been promising.
Nevertheless, it’s still a nice update you’ll want to install right away — if only for the important security improvements and patches it brings. Here is the full list of changes published by OnePlus:
Fixed some notification issues
Improved Doze Mode performance
Added media sound toggle for alert slider
Addressed alert slider/silent mode issue
Implemented August 1 security patches for Android
Implemented Quadrooter patch
General bug fixes
Like all OxygenOS updates, this one will roll out in phases to OnePlus 2 owners, so don’t worry if you do not see it straight away. You should get a push notification as soon as it’s available to download on your device.
