The wait is finally over – the OnePlus 2 is here. Today, OnePlus announced full details of its latest flagship smartphone after a fervid build-up through successive leaks and speculation in recent weeks. So does it live up to the hype?
Here's the breakdown: the OnePlus 2 packs a Snapdragon 810, 4GB of RAM, full HD 5.5” IPS LCD display, 13 MP rear camera, 3300 mAh battery and USB Type-C and is all housed inside an aluminum-magnesium alloy frame.
It also runs OxygenOS, which is OnePlus' own OS, and is based on Android 5.1. How OxygenOS performs in comparison to CyanogenMod on the OnePlus One, we'll give you details on in our full review.
Yes – you'll need an invite if you want to get your hands on a OnePlus 2. How much will it cost though? The 64 GB version will be available with an invite in the US and in Europe for US$389 from August 11. The 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3 GB of RAM will be available soon after for US$329.
