OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 2 during a press event this evening at 10 p.m. Eastern. That’s when we expect the company to provide details on how and when customers can buy a new OnePlus 2. You can already put your name in line to order a OnePlus 2, and we know a more expansive invite system will be in place, but a new report provides details on a potential release date.
A document grabbed by MobiPicker, written in Chinese, suggests that OnePlus will release the OnePlus 2 to its “Experience” stores on August 8. If it’s legitimate — and we’re not certain that it is, or if the date also applies to international markets — then it suggests that early orders should be expected to arrive in that time frame.
The OnePlus 2 is shaping up to be quite a desirable device, and we’ll have all the full details later this evening.
