According to a new rumor, OnePlus might have delayed the launch of the OnePlus Two smartphone to late 2015. The handset was originally expected to arrive by the third quarter of the year.
The company’s belief that the OnePlus One will remain popular for another 6 months is said to be the reason behind postponing the launch of the upcoming flagship. This makes sense for the company as it will give them more time to develop and work on the next generation model. Although we’re not sure if the idea that the OnePlus One might remain popular for another six months is accurate, especially with the kind of competitors available in the market today.
The delayed launch might also mean that OnePlus will end up using the next generation Qualcomm chipset that succeeds the Snapdragon 810, which is excellent news as the S810 has been plagued with overheating issued according to numerous reports. It’s still early to jump to any conclusions, but this does give us an idea of how the company could be thinking at this juncture. In any case, we recommend you to take it with a pinch of salt as nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
