OnePlus X / Mini has been mentioned quite a few times by various tech sites in the last couple of weeks. Ever since OnePlus said that they’ll release the second handset this year, rumors started popping up. The company has already released their 2015 flagship, the OnePlus 2, and it’s time to unveil the somewhat lower-end OnePlus X / Mini soon. The company has already announced that they’ll hold an event on October 29th, and judging by their teaser image which contains a huge ‘X’ on it, we assume that the OnePlus X will be announced at the event.
The OnePlus X has recently surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and thanks to that listing we basically know how the phone will look like and what specs will it sport. We’ll talk more about that in a minute, let’s cover the newly leaked info first. According to @Leaksfly, the OnePlus X will cost 1,399 Yuan ($220). This will probably be a starting price of the device, presuming we’ll see multiple internal storage options. The announcement of this device is only two weeks away at this point, but we’re sure that more leaks will surface in the meantime, so stay tuned for that.
Regarding OnePlus X’s specifications, this device is expected to sport a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC will allegedly fuel this smartphone. The 2,450mAh battery has also been mentioned in the listing, and same can be said about a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The device seems to sport a metallic trim around, similar to its older brother, and if TENAA’s listing is accurate, the device will sport three capacitive buttons below the display. OnePlus might let you use on-screen buttons though, as they did with both the OnePlus One and 2. Both the power / lock and volume rocker physical buttons will be located on the right-hand side of this device, and you’ll also be able to take advantage of the physical switch button which is available on the OnePlus 2 as well. This button will be the only thing located on the left side of this smartphone. That’s more or less it, stay tuned for more info.
