The Oppo N3 is set to replace the HTC Desire Eye as the ultimate selfie smartphone with a 16Mp rotatable camera, and its launch is imminent. Here we discuss Oppo N3 UK release date, price and specs rumours.
This rotatable camera design is visualised in several renders of the smartphone that have popped up online. The first image also reveals that the Oppo N3 has what might be a depth or laser autofocus sensor next to its dual-LED flash.
The render may not be accurate, but it's a lot more convincing than an earlier render leaked by GSMArena, and looks far more like the Oppo N1 that the N3 replaces.
The earlier render shows the Oppo N3 featuring a weird-looking cylindrical stereo speaker bar that contains the dual-LED flash and camera module, plus volume buttons on the phone's right side.
Another render, posted on Oppo's Weibo account and spotted by Android Authority, shows a faux leather rear with metallic edging. The dual-LED flash is present, but the sensor seen in the other render is not.
Oppo has also teased the N3's 'Precision optics' via its Facebook page, and the image used by the company suggests the smartphone might also have a fingerprint scanner.
More rumours about the Oppo N3's spec, many of which come from the company itself, suggest it will have a very light yet durable aluminium-lithium alloy case with a custom cooling system, plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU and 3GB of RAM.
We will bring you full details on the Oppo N3 Wednesday.
