Motorola is not a Google company anymore, but their products haven’t changed all that much since Lenovo took over. The updates might arrive a bit slower than they used to, sure, but the software is intact, it’s still as functional as ever. Speaking of which, Motorola Mobility will soon cease to exist under its current name, Lenovo will absorb the brand and we’ll be left with ‘Lenovo Moto’ devices. That being said, we do hope that Motorola’s handsets won’t change all that much, because their current lineup is quite competitive, both in terms of performance and price.
Speaking of which, Motorola has released yet another ad for their products, well, Moto X Pure, to be more exact. Moto X Pure, as you probably already know, is Motorola’s current-gen flagship, and it is the largest Moto device out there at the same time. Well, Motorola’s new commercial advertises the Moto X Pure, but the Moto 360 (2nd-gen) smartwatch also makes an appearance here. This commercial is set in the wild west, and it showcases Moto X Pure’s quick draw camera feature, which is “the perfect partner for capturing your partners”, according to the company. The ad itself is quite amusing, mainly because of the setting, so it’s worth checking out, it last only half a minute or so. If you’re interested, the ad is embedded below this article.
The Moto X Pure (aka Moto X Style, outside of US) features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC, along with an Adreno 418 GPU. The 21-megapixel snapper is available on the back of the device, and a 5-megapixel shooter is placed up front. This phablet comes with a 3,000mAh non-removable battery, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed, though you can upgrade that to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Moto X Pure is a sleek-looking phone which sports thin bezels, and it seems like Motorola is trying to sell some more units before they launch new devices in a couple of months.
