Avid readers, you're going to love this news. Amazon is about to launch an ebook and audiobook subscription service that does for literature what Netflix does for movies and Spotify does for music. It's called Kindle Unlimited, as first reported by GigaOm, and the service is being tested with select users before its widespread launch.
Kindle Unlimited is a lot like Oyster, an Android and iOS app that also offers a $10-per-month membership for unlimited electronic reading. Amazon's isn't available to the public yet - but we'll let you know as soon as it makes its debut.
