At last, the chance to pimp your Android has arrived thanks to a new range of speaker docks from Philips.
Previously, if Android users wanted to blast out their tunes from a speaker set, they had to use a cable. The growing popularity of Google’s OS however means the availability of Android speaker docks, like the Fidelio range, is set to skyrocket. Accessory developers have also been aided by the increasing standardisation of Android handsets with a single micro-USB port in the centre of devices’ bottom edges.
To erase any compatibility concerns, Philips have engineered their Android speakers to feature movable ports, ensuring phones can be attached and positioned so their touchscreen is always facing outwards regardless of USB port location. The priciest Philips Android Fidelio dock, entitled the AS851, has a 30W total output power.
