I am not a scientific expert, and I cannot comment on radiation, its effects, or how well this case may or may not reduce it. Here are Pongs claims:
Up to 50 percent of a cell phone signal can be absorbed bythehead and body.Yourdevice emits a signal allthetime, even while on standby.
Each Pong case has a micro-thin, internal antenna, which pairs automatically with the antenna of your mobile device. When paired, the Pong case redirects cellphone radiation away from your head and body.
Pong cases are tested in thesame independent labs that verify conformance of wireless devices to requirements of the US (FCC), European (CE), Canadian (CA) and Australian (ACA) governments.
APongiPhone 6s case lowers your radiation exposure by up to 67 percent below a bare phone or up to 89 percent below theSARlimit set by the FCC.
You can read more about Pongs technology here.I can only share with you what I see, feel, and experience with this case, so here are my observations.
Given its scientific purpose, I was surprised at how current and attractive this case is. The diamond pattern on the back is quite pleasing to the eye. Since the pattern is cut into the case, it has an unusual feel to it as well. The case looks and feels like a nice quality case. Its a hard plastic that feels smooth to the touch. Once the case is on, it’s hardto take off, since it has so little flexibility. Its not particularly bulky but feels quite solid and protective.
It has big cut-outs for all of the buttons and ports as opposed to tiny, precision ones. This may be a con for some users though it doesnt bother me. There is a bit of a lip that goes over the edge of the screen so you can set your phone face down without worrying about scratching the screen.
I have been using this case for a couple of weeks now, and since I am a bit of a klutz, Ive managed to drop my phone during that time. I only actually remember dropping it once onto asphalt from about waist height, though it is possible I dropped it twice. You can see cosmetic damage to the case in two different places and even my glass screen protector in the above photos, but my iPhone itself survived the drops without damage.
Whether or not Pongs case reduces radiation, its a solid, attractive case. It protected my iPhone when I dropped it.
