There are a lot of new messaging services that offer an alternative to regular text whether it’s Apple’s iMessage, Google Voice, Facebook Messenger, etc. The most popular choice though may be WhatsApp Messenger as it serves up over 10 billion messages a day. Over two months after the release of iOS 7, WhatsApp Messenger has finally been updated with the new design style. WhatsApp adopts the usual aspects with flat menus, a majority of the screen filled with white, and blue accents to highlight the menu you’re on. In fact, WhatsApp now looks a lot like Apple’s stock Messages app, expect for customizable chat wallpapers.
In addition to the new design, there’s also a new broadcasts lists feature allowing you to message a group of people at once. Other new features include new notification sounds, iOS system text size compatibility, improved location sharing, and large thumbnails of shared media. WhatsApp Messenger (Free, Universal) is already used by tons of people, and now they can all have their app fit with the new iOS 7.
