The iPhone has never offered expandable storage, users who want more storage have to rely upon cloud storage services or other solutions but it’s never as easy as popping in a microSD card. PhotoFast has come up with one such solution called MemoriesCable, it’s a very portable iPhone charging cable that also packs 128GB of much needed extra storage. It uses the ability to read and write data to portable drives connected to an iPhone or iPad through the Lightning port.
This is the only downside to this solution, you have to rely upon the third party app to access files and play media content. Since PhotoFast is providing that application for free it’s not like you have to pay extra for the privilege.
MemoriesCable is also a charging cable for the iPhone and iPad so it can be hooked up directly to the charger or a portable battery as and when required, bear in mind though that the cord is just five inches long so you might want to plug it in closeby.
PhotoFast hasn’t revealed pricing for MemoriesCable just yet but does say that it will be available in a 64GB version as well which will be somewhat cheaper than the 128GB version.
