A new leak has given us our very first glimpse of the Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone, courtesy of a post over at Weibo. This could be a fan made render, so we’re taking it with a pinch of salt for the time being. But the design and the icons shown in the device are reportedly very identical to Xiaomi devices. We can see very slim side bezels here, which is a trend sparked off by LG with the G2 last year and followed by many OEMs globally.
The leaking of this image comes just a day after Xiaomi announced that its upcoming flagship will break cover in January. Other reports have mentioned that the smartphone will be packing Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a QHD display and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The display panel is said to be covered by sapphire glass, making it stand apart from the crowd.
We’ll keep an ear to the ground for more details on this Xiaomi flagship in the coming weeks.
