The PS4 Fallout 4 release date is finally in sight and we have just one weekend to go before we can explore the wasteland of Boston. With that in mind, we want to take a look at a few things we think PS4 owners should keep in mind as we get closer.
Fallout 4 is the first Fallout game for Sony’s PlayStation 4. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas were released for the PlayStation 3. So for fans of the series that own a PS4, these are extremely exciting times.
The PS4 Fallout 4 release date is confirmed for November 10th, November 9th in some places, and its then that gamers will be able to take control of the Lone Wanderer and explore the Wasteland, its various locations, its stories, and its characters.
As we’ve pushed closer to the Fallout 4 release date, we’ve learned more and more about the Fallout 4 release date. Bethesda and its partners have unleashed a flurry of information, information that’s confirmed the Fallout 4 release time, file sizes, and pre-load details.
We’ve also confirmed midnight Fallout 4 release date details that will be important to those of you buying a physical copy of the game or the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition for PlayStation 4.
Its a lot to take in and that’s why we want to recap some of the most important things that PS4 Fallout 4 buyers need to remember with just hours to go before the game’s highly anticipated release date on Tuesday.
PS4 Fallout 4 File Size & Pre-Load
1 / 5
On Friday, Sony confirmed the Fallout 4 file size for the United States. And as expected, it falls into that 28GB-35GB range that Bethesda confirmed a few weeks ago.
The initial Fallout 4 game file will be 29.9GB if you live in the U.S. This is actually a little larger than the Xbox One Fallout 4 file size in the United States.
For most of you, a 30GB download won't be a problem. For those of you running out of space, you'll need to plan accordingly. Especially if you want to pre-load the game ahead of its release date.
As for the PS4 Fallout 4 pre-load, we know that it's coming. Bethesda confirmed a PS4 Fallout 4 pre-load a few days ago and the Fallout 4 listing on the PlayStation Store says that it's Pre-Load Supported. Unfortunately, PS4 owners can't pre-load it yet.
Some people are saying it will become available tomorrow, November 8th, but that hasn't (to our knowledge) been confirmed. It's certainly possible and with a release date set for November 9th in some places, it wouldn't be surprising.
If you pre-ordered digitally, and you pre-load, you'll be able to start playing at 12:01AM Eastern/9:01PM Pacific.
If you pre-ordered a physical copy or the Pip Boy Edition, you won't be able to start playing until November 10th because there is no pre-load for physical copies.
