Sony’s PS4 Remote Play feature was shown off with the Xperia Z3 handset, which served as a nice alternative for playing your console games on the smartphone. It now seems like this feature will be expanded to other Xperia devices as well, with Sony confirming its arrival on the Xperia Z2 and the Xperia Z2 Tablet which were launched earlier this year. The information was inadvertently given away by Sony, but the company has now published a detailed blog post mentioning its imminent launch and putting a rest to all the rumors.
Sony claims that this feature will make its way to the aforementioned devices in the coming weeks with no exact word on when. It’s unclear if the company will also support year old devices like the Xperia Z1, the Z1 Compact or the Z Ultra, but we won’t be surprised if these devices got support down the line. But at the moment, only Sony devices from 2014 appear to be supported by the PS4 Remote Play feature.
