Legit or not – this is a pretty interesting leak as it’s the first time we’ve see an apparently finished, full-retail version of the iPhone 6, complete with the actual box it ships in.
Apple will launch the iPhone 6 (and iPhone Air) on September 9 in the US. There’s been an absolute shed-load of leaks over the past six months, and the end result of all these is we have a pretty good idea about what the handset will look like.
Bigger displays, thinner profiles, smaller bezels, and insanely fast 64-bit processors will likely be the big talking points, as will the confirmation of how Apple plans on differentiating the two handsets. It can’t just be about the display sizes – that’s SO not Apple’s style.
Head on over to our iPhone 6 Hub for a detailed breakdown of what both entail. Also, if you’re interested in what iOS 8 has in store, you might want to read our iOS 8 beta 5 Review.
Since the images first appeared, debate has obviously turned to whether or not this is the real deal. As always, though, it’s impossible to tell – so think of it more as food for thought rather than confirmation of what’s to come.
“A source tells us that these photos were taken by an Apple beta tester, but declined to give more information,” reports Tech Radar – the source of the images.
“This is a new source for us, so we're not saying with 100% confidence that these photos are authentic. But after having checked EXIF data, photo manipulation and doing a little background check on our source, there's no reason for us to believe that these are fakes. Again, not 100% on that.”
