Folks at TechnoBuffalo should be commended for their clever thinking of making a non-functional design-only prototype of the next iPhone – iPhone 5.
And believe us when we tell you that the images will really be eye-candy. It’s a really good way of showing to the world, what the iPhone 5 would really look like, if all the schematics and the leaked part rumors hold good.Of the iPhone 5 features that have been discussed so far, the larger display, with a 4-inch screen and a 1136×640 px resolution stands as the oft-spoken feature. Taking it to the next leve, folks at TechnoBuffalo made a complete mock-up from the available specs, rumors, schematics and the leaked parts.
The result, definitely, is great.
Comparing SchematicsComparing the schematics of the iPhone 4/4S with those that were leaked earlier this week by iLab Factory, the guys took the measurements to scale and came up with the iPhone 5 mock-up.
iPhone 5′s largest offering this time would be the display size – a 4” affair which is the first time for the iPhones. What this means, at the interface level, is that there would be more space on the SpringBoard: this is made clear by the amount of icons it accommodates on the iPhone 5 display mock-up shown below.
iPhone 5 FaceTime Camera
Another feature neatly highlighted is the centralized FaceTime camera which, on the iPhone 4/4S, resides a bit off from the central axis of the iPhone. The centralized camera position gives it a somewhat balanced look.
Although there’s no specifics available at the moment on iPhone 5′s release date, we’re looking at – possibly – an year-end release of the smartphone considering all that we’ve been hearing of late.
That said, we must say that it has to be taken with a grain of salt. The iPhone 5 might not appear this year at all – with Apple choosing to release it sometime later next year, although we really don’t see that as a highly possible option.
