Looking for a way to stay better organized with the help of your Android device? When it comes to reminders, Google already has a reasonably solid system in place with Google Now. When it comes to creating to-do lists, there’s handy apps like Any.Do and Google Keep. If you’re looking something that combines reminders and to-do lists with location-based notifications and an incredibly straight forward and attractive UI however, you might want to turn your attention to Recollect.
Recollect is a new to-do app designed for smartphones running Android 4.0 or higher. Unfortunately it is not recommended for tablets, as there have been reports of graphical glitches when used with an Android tablet.
As you’ll see in the video below, what makes Recollect stand out is its ability to set your tasks and reminders based on just about any location. You could have specific tasks that only give you notifications when you’re at home or the office, or even a specific task for when you walk into the supermarket or a big box retailer like Target.
Basically the idea of Recollect is to make your to-do lists and reminders more efficient, and to help you stay on track.
Right now the ability to add location-based reminders is about the only major feature, though the developer plans to introduce recurring tasks and reminders, checklists, backup and multi-device sync and true tablet support in the hopefully near future. Still, it’s hard to complain about this app, especially when you consider that this app is absolutely free.
